Cam Pan Solar requires Chrome to stream video at my.wyze.com?

I can view my Battery Cam Pro’s with Firefox, but my new Solar Cam Pan’s require Chrome? Why is that? I prefer Firefox over Chrome.

Because Firefox doesn’t include the necessary decoder license, and Chrome does.

As far as I know newer Firefox versions on Windows can play H.265 when the PC has hardware decoding, but it depends on the HEVC Video Extensions from the Microsoft Store being installed. If you’re on Windows it might be worth installing that, updating Firefox, and trying again. It’s possible the Wyze site still only allows Chrome for these cams though, in which case keeping Chrome around just for that page is the easy way out.
