Being ignored

It’s weird, being ignored is like being a :ghost: in a way. Fun, but you shouldn’t abuse it.

Hey monkey

The feature as it exists probably serves the Discourse forum platform well enough.

I expect they tried different solutions to the problems of ‘not everyone likes everyone else’
and ‘some members may spoil the forum experience of others.’

I think what’s implied in the choice to ignore is ‘nothing that this person might say or contribute in the future is likely to interest me in the least and might actually annoy me.’

Of course it’s also mildly annoying to have to infer you are being ignored instead of being informed like an adult that you are.

That won’t happen, though, because ‘conflict avoidance’ is big and easier to automate.

Bonus thing that could happen but never will

Not who is ignoring you, but how many.

How’s it trending? :chart:

If you’d like to experience it, make your request here and I’ll ignore you.

Only for a week, though. I’d miss you too much.

well sad friend. But I am an astute student of karma I believe in it I’ve received it and I’ve dealt it out.

It’s comical to me the progress that mankind has mad in a relatively short term and yet you still allows ego and loose lips to control his existence.

Peep, keep up the good fight, keep your powder dry and watch your six!!

Cheers, monkey. Best to you, too.

Little ghost, little ghost
One I’m scared of the most
Can you scare me up a little bit of love?
I’m the only one that sees you
And I can’t do much to please you
And it’s not yet time to meet the Lord above

peeps, thanks for the good wishes and the kudos it’s a never ending battle
