Please implement this, and make all features in the app available on any and all other devices that can.
The app should be standard across all devices.
Exactly. I returned my video doorbell v2 when I discovered this lack of functionality. It would be such an easy software update for Wyze. Its almost like they are intentionally omitting this functionality from the v2 doorbell to get people to buy the doorbell pro, which has scheduled DND
You can potentially do this with a Rule based on a time schedule. Basically select the Doorbell and set the action to Turn Off Notifications during that time period.
Would that work for you?
Thatâs a good idea. I see the Do Not Disturb control in Video Doorbell v2âs Chime settings, but thereâs apparently no way to schedule this with an Automation or otherwise; itâs currently just a manual toggle.
No, its the chime I want on a DND schedule which seems like a very basic functionality of a smart doorbell. The only excuse I can think of to not have this ability is that the doorbell v2 uses the existing chime while the doorbell pro uses a plug in Wyze chime. I prefer the doorbell v2 as I want to use my existing chime as well as record video to an SD card.
Those are the two primary reasons I bought Video Doorbell v2 not long after it was released. Although I donât even use the manual DND feature, I agree that itâs something that users should be able to schedule in Automations.
any update here? this is so crucial as many of us use this as white noise! we have one in every bedroom along with next to the dog for this exact reason, but they drive me crazy during the day at high speed. wouldnât this be a simple addition for scheduling?
Night vision add the option to turn on and off at set times
At Night there is a street light that slightly shines on the camera and itâs enough to not switch to Night vision mode and the image is poor quality until I manually go in to toggle Night vision on. Please make a app integration rule to turn Night vision on and off on a set schedule or provide a fix for this issue.

I have the same problem and asked for the same as you are asking for.
There had been no progress on this for years.
Suggest Automation action âTurn Off Camera Forâ defined period
You can schedule on/off periods for a camera and you can create a shortcut automation to turn a camera off at the press of a button but then you have to remember to turn it back on. If what you want is a few minutes of privacy at an unexpected time, it would be nice:
Suggestion 1: If the automation actions included âTurn off camera forâ where you specify minutes and it turns back on by itself. There is already âturn camera offâ and âsleep forâ but there is no âturn camera off forâ
Suggestion 2: (more of a stretch): An automation trigger where you can speak to the camera and tell it to do that, as in âCamera! Sleep half an hour. â and then you speak a code word of some ikind.

Feature Request- Nightvision Scheduling
Please add a scheduling feature for nightvision. Due to some lights in the area the auto settings is unreliable, and settings it manually every evening is a hassle.

A recent request in a related topic mentions Lamp Socket v2 as a Trigger, but Iâm much less interested in that than I am in seeing full user-selectable Actions for for Lamp Socket v2.
Lamp Socket v2 should have this as well as regular âTurn onâ and âTurn offâ Actions, and the âTurn on forâ range should allow times beyond the 5-minute limit currently imposed by Lamp Socket v2âs âLights Off Timerâ setting.
When Lamp Socket v2 was launched, the FAQ section on its product page indicated that Automations could be used when Lamp Socket v2 was connected to a compatible Cam. That mention was eventually removed, but this still appears in a related Help Center article (as of this writing):
Features like Automations, AI detection, and controlling the lamp socket rely on the paired Wyze Cam.
Apparently Lamp Socket v2 has partial Automations support, as pointed out by another Forum member:
The problem here is that this support seems to be limited to Wyzeâs pre-baked Automations and not something that users can actually select or configure. Showing this in âEssential Automationsâ gives users the impression that Automations have been implemented for Lamp Socket v2 but in an incomplete fashion (since we canât select them for Actions in building our own Automations).
Yes, I can use the âLights Off Timerâ setting to control the lights, but that has at least a couple of limitations:
- Choices for the lights on duration are limited to a small number of preset selections.
- Enabling this requires the user to to set a âScheduleâ, which is not desirable when the user wants full 24-hour availability. My current work-around for this (where Iâm using Lamp Socket v2 in a windowless storage room) is to set the schedule for 03:01-03:00, but this should be wholly unnecessary.
Potential benefits of allowing users to access Automations Actions for Lamp Socket v2 include the following:
- No schedule for motion-triggered activation is required or enforced when using regular Automations.
- The user has greater flexibility for how long the sockets should remain on when triggered by an Automation.
- The camera (or other Wyze device) triggering the sockets would not have to be the device thatâs linked to the Lamp Socket v2s (where the sockets are a direct accessory to that camera) but could be any other triggering device, including Wyze Cams that arenât specifically compatible with Lamp Socket v2. For instance, a button press on a Video Doorbell v2 could turn on a Lamp Socket v2 in an interior lamp to let a person with a hearing impairment know that someone is at the door. All kinds of flexible uses would become possible if users were given control via Automations in the same ways that Plugs and many other Wyze devices are.
- Users could trigger socket lights more easily (even on Wyze Watch!) with the creation of Shortcut Automations that could be available on the Favorites tab in the app. Iâd much rather be able to turn sockets on and off that way rather than how I have to do it manually now:
- Open the app,
- Navigate to the linked Cam v4âs main screen:
a. Tap the camera group with the linked Cam v4, or
b. Tap the Devices tab and scroll to that Cam, - Tap the icon on the live view pane to turn the socket on or off.
Implementing this feature would also require giving users the ability to assign a unique name to each Lamp Socket v2, as we can with other devices, so that we can select a specific device for an Automations Action. Lamp Socket v2 should have that feature anyway, though that may be a subject for a different Wishlist request.

Share Camera Timeframe
Would be nice when sharing cameras to be able to set a timeframe and days when the other user can access the camera. I use one of my cameras as a baby cam and donât want to share the camera with the nanny 24/7, as she would be able to see the room even when she is not working. It would be nice if I could share the camera with her just during the hours she works, and on certain days of the week she works as well. A lot of other companies allow this for door locks setting specific timeframes when people can enter, this would be amazing if it was also applied to the cameras.

Wyze Duo Cam Pan - Automate / Schedule move to specific waypoint
Hello,
Is there a way to schedule or automate move to a specified way point on Wyze Duo Cam Pan?
If not, how can this be a feature request?

Turn on Siren for X seconds
The option to turn on Siren is available as a trigger for detecting a person, but would only like it for a few seconds to scare off would be intruders while I flash the lights red and blue.

I want to bump the request for Automations support for Lamp Socket v2 again because of recent annoyances I experienced that illustrate another use case/benefit to this potential addition.
Iâm currently using a couple of Lamp Socket v2s connected to a Cam v4 in a windowless storage room. Because of the roomâs shape, the Cam v4 does not see the entire room. Usually the lights in that room trigger on within a second or two of a person entering that room, and if the visit to that room is brief enough (retrieving something, etc.), then the light activation using the currently available setting ( Settings â Accessories â Lamp Socket v2 â Motion ) is generally sufficient; however, I was recently doing some work in an area of that room not covered by the Cam v4âs FOV and while doing so frequently had the lights turn off at inopportune times, sometimes while I was holding a hot soldering iron. In order to turn the lights back on, I once again had to resort to the steps I mentioned in point #4 in my previous post or walk around the corner (if I could safely do so) and wait for the Cam to detect me as a person and reactivate the sockets.
Itâs true that this is a problem of my own makingâand I fully acknowledge thatâbecause I chose to mount the Cam v4 and Lamp Socket v2s in this room, and I did so because for the most part itâs a decent solution. I also could have temporarily changed the view angle for the Cam so that it was pointed at the area where I was mostly working, but I was going back and forth around a corner of the room at different times, so this isnât really a practical solution. In addition, because of my movement, I could tap on the light icon on the Camâs live view to turn on the lights after they went off, but then as soon as I went around the corner and into the Camâs view, it would detect me as a person again and restart the timer (meaning the lights would turn off again a few minutes later when I was out of view).
These donât have to work this way. They could be so much better and do so much more!
If I was allowed to create my own Automations with Lamp Socket v2, then I could do a few things:
- Disable the Motion toggle as mentioned above and run Person detections through my own regular user-created Automations, which I could edit to lengthen the âlights onâ time in a way that exceeds the arbitrary limitations imposed by the Accessories setting.
- Create a Shortcut on my phoneâs Wyze app Home screen or Watch to make controlling the lights easier.
- Temporarily place a second/spare camera in this room to watch the area where I was working and thus have two different cameras monitoring for a Person detection in order to keep the lights on.
These Lamp Socket v2 activations are already running through the Automations engine, and thatâs evident because every time I go into this room and trigger the lights I can see that event as entries (one for each socket) in the Automation History! Finishing development of this feature and exposing it to the user seems like a no-brainer, because itâs already partway there.
Add additional functions to Wyze Chime WiFi
Create interactive ability with the Wyze Contact Sensor and the WiFi Chime. For example, if contact left open then alarm via the WiFi Chime. It would be amazing if it could speak specified words to alert those at home to a âdoor left openâ.
Creating open interfaces between devices to allow for user creativity to resolve issues that may be occurring.
