A few years ago, a friend had a break in while they were away at their cottage. They had a Wyze cam in the house that caught the action which led to arrest.
That got me started with my first Wyze cam v3. At the time I had 4 Nest cams for many years and was getting frustrated with Google’s loss of focus on smart home. I stopped buying Nest..
Skip forward 3 years. I am now at over 60 Wyze devices including over 25 cams (yikes), light bulbs, plugs, & sensors. I have been very impressed with Wyze service & support. There are lots of things I would like added to the cams including updates to Alexa skills however, I think, what we have is very good.
All the cams are great including pan cams & floodlight cams. Hmmm … choosing a favourite!?
For those following detection/recognition software over past 20 years, the advancements Wyze has made and provided to us (at, to me, a reasonable price) has been amazing. I was involved 10+ years ago with some of the early person detection software which was extremely expensive. I also really like the cloud & ssd card convenience at very reasonable prices.
All of my devices are linked with Alexa skills and TVs to my other 50+ iOT devices including blinds, speakers, lights, sensors, weather, sprinkler, air quality, & heat pump. Wyze Alexa skills is invaluable for home automation. I also have Google Home but so far minimal use.
The Wyze experience especially with Automations (Wyze & Alexa) are great. My vote is for more automation/integration with rest of my smart home iOT.
I’ve been a wise customer for over three years and I’ve purchased over 14 cameras let alone the many other products that I have. A first started with Wyze due to having issues with Arlo, I like the fact that wise started out from just a couple guys trying to make it in a very competitive world and have been able to go Toto tow with some of the big competitors.. I love supporting the underdog. Our vehicle was hit last winter outside of our house from somebody that didn’t have a drivers license and because I had two different cameras from two different angles showing the accident I was able to win the battle in court and had everything paid for and reimbursed.. if it wasn’t for the Wyze cameras being there and capturing
My first Wyze camera was activated on 2 May 2018 so I’ve been using them for a while, and the most recent purchase was camera 55. I have them all around my house, at a remote mountaintop radio site, and in my pickup truck. The truck cameras have witnessed several traffic collisions including one of mine, and also one that made it onto “Wham Baam DashCam”

wyze has helped me to feel safer in my home with security cameras around the house! it also helps me to monitor my kitties’ bathroom habits and has saved my cat when he was having a medical emergency! i also keep an eye on my grandmother and her property so wyze has been affordable and wonderful!
I’m new to WYZE but not security cameras. I moved over from a battery operated system that just kept eating the batteries.
For a wheelchair user, WYZE is the way to go for me. Despite a few Wi-Fi glitches, the doorbell camera, bulb cam, floodlight pro, and 2 pan cam v3 have given me more independence and peace of mind. I’m looking into the WYZE Mesh Router.
I have pets and live in a home that isn’t fully accessible so the cameras are set up to watch my dogs when I let them out in the yard, see the cats when they are downstairs or at night when I’m in bed. Also to see who is at the door since I can’t see out the windows. The different alerts that tell me if there is a delivery, a person or a stray cat on the porch are great.
I’m looking forward to seeing what else becomes available that could improve the quality of life for disabled people.
I acquired the V2, V3, V4, pan V2, pan V3, video doorbell V2, floodlight pro, light bulbs, sense sensors over many years. 40+ cameras in total. Of all the cameras, V3 was and is still the best in picture quality and value.
No more buying until Wyze release a 4k camera with 30+ fps and support PoE (power over Ethernet) & SSD/NVR recording.
Hi guys! A long time Wyze fan here with too many Wyze products to mention. I love my Wyze cams and all of the other Wyze products I own. I use them everyday inside and outside of my home. I always look forward to more new Wyze products to buy.
I still enjoy watching the night sky hoping to catch a meteor or two on my Wyze V3 Pro.
Wyze cams are economical enough that I have eight of them - six at my main residence and two at a summer home that’s so rural that a camera on the porch counts as a “trail cam”. So far I’ve captured bears, bobcats, racoons, turkeys, groundhogs and deer galore. I travel south for the winter months and have Wyze cams in every room in my house, including driveway, garage, and front door. Having these cameras, give me peace of mind so I am aware of everything that goes on in my home when I’m gone. I also use Wyze bulbs to create automations that trigger lights at sunset in various rooms, going off at my usual bedtime. Lights also trigger throughout the night when a person is recognized on one of the inside cameras. Pairing the cameras with the Alexa app, if a person is detected inside the house at any time, alarms are sounded and warnings given throughout the house. Again, all of this gives me great peace of mind so that I can be gone for 4+ months with no worries!
I started using Wyze cams to keep an eye on my home while away for extended periods of time. I couldn’t justify spending hundreds on an alternative when the Wyze Cam V2 was like 25 bucks or whatever it was. Now my setup has expanded to multiple different devices throughout my home that I spent a fraction of money on compared to the competition. Sure, I think Wyze could up their consistency and connection experience but the quality for the price is pretty good.
I’ve been a Wyze customer for years. Started with the original Wyze cameras and small door/window entry sensors that didn’t require a hub (loved those by the way and really wish you would bring them back). Added the pan and tilt v2 as well as a bunch of fixed position cams. Then the v3 cams and pan/tilt, door bell and flood lights. I’ve caught everything from spiders spinning large webs on my front porch, a comet and meteor in the night sky, and unfortunately the start of our house fire a year ago. Once our new house is built, I plan to add all new Wyze devices and probably sign up for monitoring.
I use wyze cameras for monitoring my driveway, front and back yard, as well as for monitoring my pets inside my home. Being able to see if their food and water levels are good while we are away or if we need someone to stop by to top them off outside of their scheduled visits. I also use them for bird watching!
I use Wyze cams at both my home and business. I found them by asking a friend and love how simple they are to use. The flood cam is great to see my whole backyard and door bell cam for my front yard and driveway. Also have one for my dogs to monitor while we are out of the home. The pan cameras are great at my business as a simple cost effective way to monitor business.
Thanks to Wyze Cameras I was able to determine I was being stalked, they helped me identify the person, report the person to the police, provide evidence and how often the person was stalking me. I’m thankful for Wyze cams and their person notifications. I’ve had them since 2020 and I now have 8 cams at least 20 bulbs, their LED light strips, multiple switches, their scale, and their cam Plus package. Thank you Wyze you may have saved my life to be honest.
I use Wyze sensors for home automation and a camera for porch security. I have a motion sensor that turns on a nightlight in the bedroom for trips to the bathroom. I have door sensors on my garage doors that trigger lights inside the house for a bit. I have temperature/humidity sensors to monitor conditions, and water sensors to alert me before a lot of damage occurs.
My main complaint with Wyze is the lack of an API for gathering or acting on sensor data, I can’t pull the data and keep a running history of Temperature/Humidity data. It works well with Alexa, but Alexa doesn’t give me historical records either. There’s no supported Home Assistant integration, and not even an unsupported one that will work on sensors connected to the Wyze infrastructure. I would love to see Wyze be more connected.
