Second one taking forever to load
Seems like white objects have a slight green tint but it’s not stand-out noticeable. Same with @Antonius 's photo.
First one the light is under a easement, the second one the light is above the v4
Keep in mind though. that the greenish hue intensity will depend on ambient light and moonlight. At least that’s what I’ve noticed on mine.
EDIT: Here is the v3 from this morning around 1:00 am. It was a very misty and cloudy night.
Here is the v4 approximately same time. Notice both have a greenish hue and both are facing same general direction on different sides of the house.
If my v4 ever shows up (currently in some sort of limbo land between UPS and USPS for 4 days - wish they had used amazon fulfillment for it) I’ll compare to my OG. The v3 image looks very orange above, I prefer the v4 image.
Starlight sensors are never going to have perfect color, they’re amplifying whatever they can find, the 2.5K sensor may just be more sensitive to green when oversaturating, where the v3 is more red.
The OG color at night seems pretty neutral to me, but it does get grainy, which seems to be that particular sensor’s limitation with low light. They’ll all have some sort of trade off.
That’s got plenty of light though, so it isn’t really having to really do “color night vision”.
The darker it gets, the more the sensor’s particular quirks with low light will start to become evident. With my OGs I sometimes see a purple hue, especially if there is more light in one area than another.
Yes I had the OG camera and return it for the v3 and just bought 4, v4 last week . Seem ok , the starlight sensor Don’t work as Wyze say
Color night vision is overrated by Wyze
I think you have my images mixed up, the one with the car is the v3 the one with porch is the v4 ![]()
I’m not sure how it compares to Tapo and Reolink, but until recently Wyze had the best night vision as they were the only one on the market to use StarLight sensors in their cameras.
Yes sure back then. That’s the word Back then
It is interesting how same cameras behave under different lighting conditions. The only v4 is the bottom left, the other three are v3s.
I have noticed that on my recently purchased OG. Daytime is fine.
I was impressed for such low light situations.
Picture perfect
