This is a first for my birdfeeder: 4 turkey hens. One even jumped up onto the seed tray.
I’ve seen these hens harassing a pair sandhill cranes across the street for a couple of days now. But this is first time they came into my yard.
Now that they’ve found the sunflower seeds, I suspect they will be back.
Looks like fall is nice out your way. 
There was a turkey hen directing traffic here at an intersection this morning, made a mess of local traffic.
Was she using the same sign language you teach your 
pupils?
The weather has been really nice. It is starting to cool down a little here in Wisconsin.
No she was flapping her wings and pecking tires on the stopped vehicles. 
This thread made me think of this clip.
That’s been happening in part of the town here for a while, too, and has made the news a few times.
I knew these hens would be back.
