And i reverted back to .199 and nothing changed, maybe a server side thing on wyze’s part I hope they respond
I did not know that you can downgrade the firmware from inside the beta app on Android. Not sure if that is possible on iphone as I have yet to be acknolwedged on the test pilot thing

Camera settings > Device info > Firmware version > “Have problem?”

Yup this, I got the email which is why I’m posting here
yea… signed up, got invited in… and oddly beta app shows wyze ai detection under cam plus) and non beta shows smart detection, . i just loaded beta again on another phone to see what was different.
Maybe the people section for face recognition isnt rolled out just yet even tho we were accepted in the ‘closed ai group’. Seems like if it was all ready we in the ‘closed’ group would have the 4 new options.
Mostly concerned w main iphone (have a spare to test beta)… i did push the all back to 199 firmware so its very strange we dont have the options yet.
I’m in the process of leaving the beta on Android right now, I’ll tell you if that changes anything

I’m having the same issue, no AI Detection, just Smart Detection. At first, I was afraid it was because I have v2.14.35 of the Android app because the email said v2.14.33 was the working version. I’m going to check back later to see if anyone got it working.
That’s correct if you didn’t sign up for it and get accepted to test it then you’re not gonna see anything.
I know most of the people here now did sign up and were selected.
Obviously they don’t have it working correctly yet even though they sent the emails.
Just have to wait till they do get it working correctly

Update: I updated the beta app on my mom’s iPhone but the camera is still .199 firmware like they said. Just like on the public app on my android, it’s the same also on the beta on her iphone. The new AI features do not show.
This is the email response I just got from Wyze support:
Thank you for your feedback. Our AI engineering team is aware of the issue and is currently working towards a fix. While we don’t have an ETA just yet, we hope to see this resolved as soon as possible.

Thank you. AT least you got a response. I got their usual canned “Thank you for making Wyze better” and then no one actually says anything.
Thanks, I just got through sending them feedback email 5 minutes ago asking about the testing
In the meantime the 4 second clips as well as no fragment errors have returned on the non beta cams. I haven’t had a lot of activity on the beta cams to tell but I’ll deal with it and report what I find as I did sign up to beta test some cams and test the AI on the other cams. If I just knew who to report all of this to because I can’t seem to get the mods to acknowledge what I say in Facebook beta group and just get canned responses to the feedback email I send.
Does Wyze actually read this btw? Just curious because I have no idea where to post these things. Chat agents have no idea
Has anyone that was invited to the pilot been able to get it working? I was invited, manually flashed the camera and re-installed the official iOS app and still not seeing the new options. Sent an email to the AI team and got the canned response.
I never got it to work and sadly the flashed firmware gave me missing fragment error again and no response (as usual) from Wyze. And while I know these things occur testing some acknowledgement from their team would be nice
Someone on this thread already said wyze is aware and are working on a fix for the new AI, there is no estimated timeline for when it will be fixed.
