City boy again. The chickens are in the coop. The opossum can’t harm them, so the food was the attraction?
Would the chickens win or lose the fight?
I don’t know if opossums dig holes, but if they do, then they could get into the coops from underneath. I don’t have hardware cloth on the floors yet. I do have it all over the big coop since the sides don’t have walls.
If it did get in the chickens would lose. They can be mean. Raccoons will reach their tiny hands inside chicken wire, grab chickens and tear them apart.
