Is this a sign of Cam V3 imminent failure - Spotlight issues?

One day I realized that my spotlight on cam-v3 was flashing abnormally. I switched off the camera then back on. It continued to flash on and off. I went into the camera configuration->accessories-spotlight and I was greeted by “Add a Spotlight” option. I selected “I have one installed” and I was then greeted with “Uh oh… Something is wrong”…

I powered the camera off and disconnected the spotlight from the camera then reconnected everything. The error still persisted.

I assumed the fault was the spotlight. Since I had spare Spotlight, I replaced that one with a new one.

The new one worked for a few days then started behaving like the very one I had replaced. Right now the new one is not detected. This has now forced me to think that the issue is with the camera.

Camera Firmware version: 4.36.13.0416
Plugin version: 3.0.0.15
Camera has been active since 03Jan2021.

Are these the signs of imminent failure of this camera? Or there is a solution to this phenomenon?

My guess is water or something else got into the pins of one of the connectors. You could try unplugging it all, putting a bit of rubbing alcohol in each, then blowing out with compressed air and letting it dry. May or may not work.

Or it could just be the camera failing as you say, something internal.

I used the new spotlight with its new cable from the box.

Which still plugs into the camera - which is not new and could have water or dirt in the connector.
