Setting up Cam 3 at a cabin at remote location. No wifi. I want to set it up to be triggered by motion and record onto the SD card, for me to retrieve later, using the Cam 3 like a “game camera”. Can I do this? Also, I see comments of people using battery power – I thought you had to have a/c power?
The V3 requires a power source in order to work. It uses a standard AC power adapter. There are also requirements to have internet connectivity, at least for startup. The camera gets configuration and other information from the Wyze servers at that time. There are ways to make it work (you’ll need to search the forum.) However, it isn’t how the cameras are designed to work…they are cloud based.
