I put this into my mailbox in the Summer of 2019. It was a simple way to get notifications when the mailbox was opened and trigger a camera to take a short video clip. It worked pretty well even through the last Mid-West winter, which wasn’t really that bad. I also have a MailSig visual indicator to save trips to the mailbox when the weather is bad.
Another benefit is getting the video clips when the mailbox is opened, because sometimes packages are left in the mailbox and there has been some package theft in the past.
