Add More Triggers for Wyze Automations (Rules)

Like @Seapup said, this would be an Action, not a Trigger, so it needs to be made available to users as a “target” for the kind of Schedule you’re proposing. I’ve requested this as an Action as my previous post notes, and it’s something I’d really like to see Wyze implement.

I guess it hadn’t really registered with me before, but I do see a Restart button when I navigate into a Lamp Socket v2’s settings, so I can see that being a potential for an Automations Action. Thanks for cluing me in! :+1: (Maybe go suggest this in the Add More Actions for Wyze Automations (Rules) topic!)

Regarding the Cam v4 issue, does manually restarting the Lamp Socket v2 with the Restart button resolve that for you? As a test, I just used that button in the app to restart a Lamp Socket v2 that’s currently connected via cable to a Cam v4 that it’s powering. The status LED is enabled on the Cam v4. During the restart, the socket’s light bulb turned off for several seconds, but the Cam’s status LED remained on the entire time. I don’t know if that’s useful information or not. I just wanted to understand if restarting the socket in this way would also reboot the camera and if that might be related to your issue. Apparently it doesn’t power cycle the Cam (which I think is good), so I’m trying to understand the connection between restarting a socket and fixing a Cam’s stream. Maybe if you want to create a new topic to get better visibility on that issue other users might have ideas? Maybe restarting the Cam v4 itself is what actually resolves this for you? :man_shrugging:
