"You're about to set up a device on a public network"

I am for the first time seeing this message as I try to enter my Wi-Fi and password for my V3

My network is not broadcasting it’s SSID by my choice, is that why it’s saying that?

Otherwise it has me worried that I’m being hacked, or something. Thank you.

I found hiding my SSID caused more connection problems than it was worth. I broadcast my SSID but have a 24 character password.

Be aware that a network with a hidden SSID can still be detected with WiFi scanning software.

Seems like an odd error for no SSID but maybe a bug. However what IP addresses is your router handing out? If they are public or CGNAT range, the camera may be seeing that and keying the warning.

Based on someone’s recommendation that ‘hidden’ is really no better than ‘not’ hidden, I’m hid it and it did not come up again. Thanks for y’all’s replies.
