Wyze Watch 44 erratic data collection

Recently my watch seems to be collecting data erratically. A couple of day, it says I took more than 20,000 steps, for example, when I did nothing like that. Sleep seems off, too, saying I only slept a few hours when I know I slept all night.

I also continue to have problems with connection to my phone even when I do all the troubleshooting suggestions. Support says to send a log, but how can you get a log when you can’t connect?

Any thoughts?

It’s pretty clear from other posts about the Watch 44 that there’s some problem syncing to the app, and the Watch 47 may have a similar problem. But so far no answers, so no idea whether it’s the watch, the app (seems likely), or the shared code in the firmware between the two watches.
