Wyze thermostat not turning on, just clicks

We have been over every tutorial we could find and have double checked all our connections. When we hook up the thermostat it just clicks and doesn’t turn on the controller. Here are some pictures below for reference. What are we missing?

Update:
R-W, R-Y, R-G voltage is between 27-28 volts
R-B is 21.7
We switched wires (since there was an extra brown wire in the bundle) to make sure it wasn’t something to do with the wire and it increased from 19 with the blue wire to 21.7 with the brown. We’re still stumped.

When you checked voltage, did you check at the thermostat, or at the package unit?

As the package unit is located outside and exposed to humidity, you can try unplugging this connector and looking for corrosion on the brown wire:

Sometimes just unplugging and re plugging a few times can clear up corrosion related issues.

We finally found a place in the crawlspace where one of the wires was spliced and not fully connected. Never figured out why the other wire didn’t work but it allowed us to at least hook up one wire and get enough voltage.
