Wyze thermostat is running warm to the touch / temperature reads a little high

Has anyone encountered this?

Newly installed, purchased in 2021. Wired from 75vac tranformer: C to common, Rc to 24v; W1 to the power head. (The other power head lead returns to the transformer common.

I plugged and caulked the hole in the wall behind it thru which some warm air was flowing. No change.

It’s always a little warmer than the surrounding air.
Mine shows up as 85.6F when the room temperature is set to 63 (actual wall temperature is 59.1F) when measured with a thermal camera. However, the sensor for the thermostat is located in the bottom of the thermostat, below the knob, where it is much cooler. The hotspot on my thermostat is located near the top left , close to the motion sensor.
