I’ve had the Wyze Scale since April 2020 or so… I’ve just started noticing that I don’t have data from back then. I only have the last 365 days. Why is this? Why don’t I have all the data? Can I export all the data that Wyze has on me?

The app GUI will only show you the last year of scale data, but you can export your entire history of scale data into a spreadsheet and have a copy of that and import it into something that will show you more than 1 year at a time. I recently exported everything and the spreadsheet file included over 16.5 months of scale data and 487 measurements, so it’s all still there, it is just limited to 1 year within the app. To export the scale data do the following:

1. from the home screen, select the scale
2. select the settings gear icon in the top right
3. select Export Data
4. enter your email address
5. select ALL
6. select Export
7. wait for it to be sent to your email (one time it went to my spam folder, so check that too)

I hope that helps!

It does. Thank You.

The ALL option has been removed for a custom option that only allows 1 year at a time. This is very annoying.

Welcome to the Forum, @MadDadOf2! 👋

I noticed that recently, too, and was thinking that I had seen an “ALL” option in the past. I guess they can’t be expected to store all the data indefinitely, but it’s still disappointing to learn that you’ve lost access to something.

The data is still there I believe. At Least 4 years worth for me. Now though I have to export it in one year chunks.

I hope this is an oversight in the new app update and not intentional. At least the data is still all there.

It’s what I see in the last production v2.5x release, as well:

Oh yeah, that’s no accident if they specifically added wording saying it’s limited to 1 year.
💩

Oh well, at least they still allow us to get data earlier than a year, just have to manually do it.

I used to manually download all my data every year anyway, so I have most of the older data saved already, but I don’t think this is a necessary limitation. Excel files with weight data don’t really take up that much space/bandwidth.

They still need to improve the workbook creation, though, like [fix the spelling](https://forums.wyze.com/t/fix-it-friday-april-2024/294493/23) and remove unnecessary text from numeric cells (i.e., get rid of “lb”, “kg”, etc. when they’re already in the column header).

With the power of modern phones and cost of storage, there is little reason why Wyze can’t store and display the graphs for all data.

A health journey is a long term proposition. Most people I would think works REALLY LIKE TO SEE all their progress from the very first day they got the scale!

Downloading in one year chunks is pretty ridiculous as is displaying only one year! Forcing people to have to do this at all is a real shame!

I don’t understand it unless it’s a legal issue.

Otherwise I think it’s that Wyze is simply not prioritizing this.

It’s a real disappointment now that I’ve had the scale for more than a year.

C’mon Wyze, put in the effort!

FYI, I’m not suggesting having to upgrade, but the newer scales were programmed to show this option in their charts. You can select to see all data or scroll back on the smaller time periods to see earlier data. They just didn’t add that update to the original scale’s UI. However, when I got a newer Scale X I was able to see all my data from the original scale on the new one too. It would have been nice if they also updated the original scale’s UI at the same time. But since the original scale can’t show all data or past a year, then it totally makes sense to allow exporting all data so people can do that.

But I agree, that is the most annoying thing about the original scale is not being able to see progress from the day you got the scale. That’s why I had to use Google Fit because the wyze UI was not sufficient.
