I cannot understand how Wyze treats their customers so poorly.
3 months ago I’ve replaced my Wyze Battery Cam Pro with Tapo C460 and they work great! Since then, I wanted to see if a firmware update might have resolved my connectivity issues. I installed the battery, pressed the setup button, added both cameras to my updated Wyze Android App successfully. Both Cameras do not display the battery at all, the MicroSD card is not recognized, and the device info page is missing information. THIS IS A CORRUPT FIRMWARE. I reach out to Wyze, ticket #4806943 and was told to send a diagnostic log (ID#2220309) of which only 1 of the 2 Battery Cam Pros appear.
Tapo support is quick to respond, connected me with an engineer and upload a custom firmware via OTA to resolve issues. Wyze on the other hand can only provide their support with a script that teaches them to reply to all issues with a $15 gift card…
Wyze, please provide me with the firmware to get the cameras working again. This is really pathetic.
We are fellow users, all we can do is direct you to the Wyze firmware page.
However you said the cams were offline for a while with no battery, maybe it takes them a bit to get a battery reading. I’d recommend charging them both up fully and also clearing cache in the app and in your phone’s OS under the wyze app as well.
When all of that is done, maybe reboot the cams and see how it all looks.
There is no firmware available to download on said page.
To answer your question, the battery on both devices were left in charge for 3 days and fully discharged, the battery does not appear within the app. I have also charged the batteries outside the camera, no change.
Then your camera does not support manual firmware updates, at least not without getting them from a support person. My point was, demanding someone here to provide you with a firmware file is useless, we don’t have any more access to them than you do.
