Does the center of the Bulb light up?

No. Not actually sure what resides there, but I could imagine the power source circuitry.

the difussing pattern around the center is what made me think it might…OK… Thank You!

I agree, the diffusing pattern is confusing, and I don’t really know why it would be there.

When Wyze first launched this Floor Lamp, they advertised that the center of this bulb 8 degree would light up at a later time with a firmware upgrade.
