I don’t know if there is any point in reporting my issues here because they don’t seem to be fixed even though there seems to be a lot of people with the same issue and my issue is with the Wyze Duo Cam Battery Doorbell as it will not reliably use or detect micro SD card. The SD card I’m trying to use is a Samsung 128 GB pro endurance designed to be used in these kind of cameras. It needs all the specifications and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t work as it does work in other devices. The camera will sometimes detect the SD card, sometimes format the card, but most of the time will tell me there is no card in it and and or that it needs to be formatted and this has been ongoing for the last three weeks of me owning this camera. from other forum posts that i have read the From other forum posts that I have read the consensus is that I have to buy a wyze branded micro SD card in order for it to reliably record data to it. I don’t think that is acceptable this issue needs to be fixed there is no reason why this camera cannot function with the micro SD card i have provided for it this camera cannot function with the SD card I have provided for it.
You don’t need a WYZE brand SD card. I have 12 cams with Samsung Pro endurance cards in them and they all work great. Some have been recording continuous 24/7 for over two years and continue to do so.
Get a new SD Card and try it. Generic Amazon brand for Endurance work just fine.
The cameras do not require Wyze branded SD Cards. Not sure where you got that. But the cards do act funny sometimes and stop working.
I have Duo Cam Doorbell. I do not have this issue. Had it since launch.
