Wyze Cam v4 Do Not Work Randomly

Hi All,

I have 2 Wyze v4 Cams next to each other on the outside of my house pointing to the left and right of the street. I have been having issues especially with the one pointing to the right randomly not working. I see error code -14. I’ll try a power cycle of the cameras but does this look like they are starting to fail?

Well this is a weird one. On my phone it works fine but on the iPad it does not. I updated the app on the iPad and that seems to have resolved the issue.

I don’t think so. How’s the signal strength at the location?

You might try Temporarily getting a long Cat5 cable and move your WiFi access point closer to your v4 cameras. If you no longer get the error code then you know poor signal is the problem.

My wife will let me string a Cat5 cable across our house Temporarily but I know I can’t leave it there very long.

Both show as 2 out of 3 bars. The WAP is in the room next to these cameras.

That doesn’t mean that there is no issue with the signal as what you describing sounds just like that. Maybe a congested channel. Can you change the channel number on your router?
