Wyze cam v3 will not connect

I have four v3 cameras. About 2 weeks ago one cam went offline. I followed instructions to reset (simply unplug and replug). Came back online for 2 minutes and back offline. Nothing works to get it back online. Am I going to have to find a youtube video for a fix or do I trash it and go with another brand? I recently bought a pan cam but am not certain I want to hook it up. There are other issues with the Wyze app but will post those later.

Btw, your forum usability sucks.

Sounds like a bad firmware update, I lost a few that way.

Maybe rollback firmware via SD.

Too many issues with Wyze cams that I won’t buy anything from Wyze anymore.

I have no issues with my Reolink cameras and eventually all the Wyxe cams will be replaced with Reolink’s

Have you tried swapping a power cord and power brick from a working v3 to the problem v3 to test?

If the cam is located outdoors, look for corrosion where the USB cable plugs into the v3 pigtail. You may need a magnifying glass. Or just blast it with WD-40 and work the connection a few times. If it works, clean the connection with alcohol or contact cleaner, load the connection up with dielectric grease and seal with silicone tape.

All my failed Outside Wyze cam V3’s got the lens sealant failure not one had moisture on the micro-USB connection.

Some did have update that bricked the V3 but most are the lens fogging…

Have you rebooted your modem/router?

Interesting that was your failure mode. I have a bunch of V3 cameras that are outside (mostly under eves), but a couple completely in the rain, and have not had any fail from water getting into the lens.

Search lens fog many have had it happen and it’s a known issue

My other three cameras operate just fine. Not a modem issue.

Modem? Not all router issues affect all connected devices. Sometimes, only one or a selected few are affected. At any rate, how long does a router reboot take, compared to posting these things and waiting for responses?

Sorry you feel that way about wyze. I was shopping around for home camera an I bought wyze because of who the owners are how they started the company basically the American dream blue collar workers , they worked for one of the largest companies. Any way I get frustrated as well with the camera as well sometimes it it’s not the camera it’s me🫣 you might want to give them some more time before you buy something else
