All my cloud video events from yesterday played normal, all the videos from midnight until current 6:23 AM this morning are all playing in slow motion time lapse. V3 and V4 cam videos. SD recordings all playback just fine on all cams.
Forced closed the iOS app and restarted, all cloud videos play at normal speed again.?
Best way is to off load the app and then load it again, gets rid of a lot of junk. Did my iPad which had 4.73GB storage use from the WYZE app, now it is 613MB.
Thank you for chiming in here and providing an update. Since this topic has matured and gained its own traction and since someone from Wyze has replied here and let the community know that they’re aware of this issue, I’ll leave this topic as-is instead of merging it into App and Firmware updates - Released 8/11/2026.
That’s what’s been reported in the Wyze News firmware announcement topic, as well:
Telling the bot create ticket is the easiest way I’ve found to open a ticket. The form they present in chat is minimalistic (it sucks), but then at least I can reply to the initial e-mail with more detail to describe my problem and the troubleshooting steps I’ve already performed. After the initial robot e-mail response, subsequent responses are handled by human agents.
They used to provide a full-page form for ticket creation, and I liked that, but that went away around the time they started using “AI” more for responding to user queries on the support site. For a while I hoped they’d bring that back, but I don’t anticipate that will return, so users are stuck with the frustration of interacting with yet another machine until they manage to have an actual human see the problem.
Same issue started today after updating WYZE app to V3.20.0.20 for IOS. Happens on recordings made after this version was installed. Camera software is up to date.
Me too, spent an hour and half on the phone with wyze customer support yesterday they seemed unaware of the issue. My flood cams sd cards are playing back in one minute time lapse intervals vs normal playback time lapse ( in seconds). So I traveled 3 hours to the property to physically replace the memory card hoping that would fix the issue. It Did not .
Firmware versoin 4.36.17.10
I am new to the forum, (not new to wyze products) so what is the fix?
Found the instructions on how to manually flash the camera back to the latest available firmware. Negative, DEU here…This is beyond my skill set. So is this something Wyze tech support can do? Flood light cameras are at a remote property can this be done without someone on site?
To be honest, I have never had luck with that request. However, I have read posts from others that said WYZE flashed their device for them. All I can suggest is giving it a try.
I would call them though and not depend on their AI assitant.
