Wyze Cam v3 playback from sd playing in time lapse

My video playback from sd card is playing in time lapse. This just started over a week ago. I haven’t started any time lapse videos and can’t fix it. I’ve restarted, power cycled, cleared cache, etc to no avail. Anyone else having this issue? It’s extremely annoying.

I’m having the same issue where playback is playing in sped up lapsed time and only giving a snapshot of event from sd card view. This just started Aug 15, 2026. Firmware says it’s up to date. I tried reformatting, restarting, resetting, ejecting sd card and resetting it, clearing cache. It’s doing this on both cameras which leads me to thing it is still a bug in latest update. 2 floodlight cam3 cameras. Installed 2 yrs ago and no other changes made other than “upgrading firmware” bc I was prompted.

I just checked several of my V3 cameras (I have a bunch with SD cards all set to continuous recording). Firmware version 4.36.17.10 and SD card playback is fine.

Android app version 3.20.0 (b936)

My v3 SD card playback is fine too. V3 firmware 4.36.17.10 and IOS App version 3/19.0 (17).

I would check the Time Lapse settings to see if something inadvertently got clicked.

Looks like it:

Firmware 4.36.17.10

App v3.19.0 (17) iOS

First thing I checked and nope.

Since the last upgrade I’ve had troubles accessing SD cards. I think I’ll stop uodating. Wyze is trying to force us to use their for pay service pure and simple! My cameras all worked great until this last upgrade. 4.50.17.10

I’ve been having trouble accessing my sd cards to play back events and no go off and on lately since the last update 4.50.17.10. I am not going to do updates again once and if wyze ever gets this fixed. Wyze wants everyone with their cameras to use pay services and are trying to force us all to pay. I’ll garbage all mine before I will pay them.

Yea, I’m looking at replacing these Wyze cams altogether. They worked great when I got them a few years ago but now they seem to be going downhill. Their support seems to be nonexistent except for AI which is no help.

You’d have to be crazy (5150) to stick with Wyze :winking_face_with_tongue:

I think I just might be

I have five V3 cams all recording continuous to 128GB SD cards and have no issues at all with playback. iOS app 3.19.0 (17) anad firmware 4.36.17.10. Maybe they are crazy cameras.

Same exact problem. Going to sdcard now only plays the first second of every minute. Time lapse is not on. Started about a week ago or at least noticed it then. I’ve power cycle multiple times, formatted my sd, Clear Cache and Data of app, Reset services. Nothing has fixed the issue. My V2s are all working fine. Only this V3 floodlight having the problem.

App version 3.19.0.935.

Firmware 4.36.17.10

Floodlight 1.0.0.55

Yep, today one of my cameras started recording 1 sec every 2 min in continuous mode. So, now I can no longer get my recording from the sd card. The other camera just completely disabled access to playback mode from my sd card by giving me the error msg no video available. Mind you, I just downloaded video from the camera on 8/15/26. But, currently the entire week shows no video. Anyone have a solution to this problem.

Hi, thanks for reporting this. A fix will be included in the next firmware release. Thanks for your patience!

I am experiencing this problem too, but only on my V3. This just started happening after a firmware update on the camera. Is there a way to roll back a firmware update?

You will have to go back to March 2026 firmware since that is the latest available for download.
USE a clean 32GB or smaller SD card in FAT32 to put the firmware file on,

Great instructions above. You may find this video helpful rolling back firmware.

After putting in a ticket, they pushed a firmware update to both cameras that were having the issue and it seems to be fixed, I would suggest doing the same. Fingers crossed it will stay that way.
