Wyze Cam V3 outdoor issue always offline

My V3 Cam on the roof and it is always offline. if i take router on the roof near cam then start working. i am really tired of this issue since i purchase this cam V3

Probably not a good WIFI location, did you check?

On Android, there is an app made by Wyze.

You should be able to use this app to determine optimal locations for the devices. Not sure if one exists for iOS, but if not, you can use other WiFi Analyzers as well.

What other information (maybe a photo could help) can you share about your mount location and the construction of your roof? Is it maybe a metal roof that’s blocking the Wi-Fi signal? More information about how you’re trying to use your Cam and how you have it set up could guide troubleshooting.

You answered your own question. I’m assuming you do not have good wifi coverage on your roof, since most people wouldn’t.

yes you are right. my router is far from camera. but cant install router on roof. but i have unlimited mobile data while using app. do you think mobile data will help to solve the issue ???

You need to get wifi coverage where the camera is. The only way mobile data would help with that is if you got a hotspot and connected the camera to that. But I would think you’d want to relocate the camera to somewhere that has wifi coverage from your home internet, or maybe install an extender or access point somewhere near where the camera is (attic, etc). Relocating the camera may be the simplest solution.
