Updated seven V3
All upgraded fine but one needed a power cycle to go back online.
I have noticed some cameras generating daily 25 GB of traffic up to Amazon in a day.

I should be able to do a few tests soon. Will post here when I complete some.
But note: @Noopur indicated the fix was in the works.
2 updated without any issues. So far not noticing any issues.
Perhaps replacing Dusk and Dark with a slider for the night vision sensitivity selector will allow more flexibility for when the IR’s kick in since everyone’s definition and light level may differ. My IR’s never kick in to illuminate my front yard and driveway leaving it in darkness before of the street lights across the street.
hey thats me. still unsuccessful. it sounds like the one is stuck in a endless power cycle loop and keeps restarting. i am no longer able to hold down the set up button and get the purple light to install old firmware. Log ID 646337
Same here. 2 out of 3 very choppy.
@Big_B Sorry for the trouble. Before you get the camera back to working state, could you please help us getting some sd card log files from them and send it to my email (I’ll PM you)?
To get the SD card log, you can pop out SD card and re-insert into the camera. After two chime sound you can take out the SD card. On a PC/Mac with a SD card adapter, please put your card inside and send me the log_XXXX.txt file under SD card log directory. Thank you very much for your help!
To get your device back, please first factory reset it: https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031484511-How-to-factory-reset-your-Wyze-Cam-v1-v2-v3-or-Pan-v1-v2#:~:text=With%20the%20Wyze%20Cam%20plugged,hold%20it%20for%2020%20seconds.
and then rebind the camera to your app. The device should be working after these two steps.
@kboggs1 @RanHalen @Aardvark Thank you for the feedback. For the choppy event replay issue, could you please submit a log and PM me one of the event file that has the issue? Are they all CPL events? Thank you very much.
@WyzeBaohua and @carverofchoice
Offline issue got a maven as well I updated a couple of cameras and all of them are non-responsive. I’m going to try at least one more now that it’s a later time and see if it happens again but I’m figuring probably have to reflash a firmware. Power cycling didn’t work and everything else on these cams is completely non-responsive. If anybody has any ideas on anything they want me to test on this issue I would be more than happy to.
I did submit a log in case anyone needed to see it
Sorry for the trouble. What is the LED status on that offline v3?
Before you flash it back, could you please get a SD card log file for us?

We will halt the V3 4.36.10.2163 beta testing due to an offline issue after firmware update. We will investigate this issue and fix it ASAP. Sorry for the trouble and thank you so much for the feedback and logs.
Updated 5 v3 no issues with the update. I am noticing that two of the cameras have started recording sound events. I double checked and sound detection is off for those cameras. I am also seeing lamp socket testing prompts for those cameras which seems new. The settings for the lamp socket also reset for one of the two cameras
Problem with the detection zone on this iOS RC version of the app. I confirmed this:
Floodlight icons are strangely saying the floodlight is offline with this new app version. I tried both iOS and Android and both do it. If I tap the floodlight icon or the siren button it says device offline. But I can go into settings and accessories and manually turn it on or off or to auto and it works through there, just not on the livestream page.
I had to compress the video a ton to get it to upload in here, but it should be enough to see the error when I press the floodlight icon, and then see that it turns on and off if I go through the settings area to control it (so it’s not actually offline). I also attached a slightly higher-quality video to the log.
And BTW, I checked to make sure that the floodlight still worked on other app versions, so that confirms the floodlight is working okay and that the problem must be the test app version since it still works fine on other app versions.
I checked Lamp Sockets and their icons still worked on the livestream page
(though I will add that the timer on the lamp sockets to shut them off hasn’t been working for several weeks now)
Anyway, might be something to fix before the production release causes a bunch of people to notice that the floodlight icons are no longer responsive and require a hotfix.
This bug is still present, which was reported in the 2.33 beta test:
The box: « Help us improve Al by sharing this one video
with Wyze. » in the Event Tab is gone. 2.33.0.(b14) Still there in 2.32.0(20)
Must be an iOS bug. The box is still there on my Android phone (2.33.0.b159).
10/10 v3/s updated successfully, but 1/10 (not a bad ratio) ended up with the usual “won’t remember Wifi settings” after any restart/power-cycle. Waiting for support to get back to me with the last stable version. I see the release has been pulled, so it’s already an identified issue. Hoping no other cameras experience this, not going to attempt restarting other ones to try… haha. Tempting fate hasn’t worked out for me the last time a BETA release messed up my v2’s.
If you’re looking for the latest “stable” version of the firmware, it can be found here:
Many thanks! Saves me from waiting, I want to fix it up and remount the camera.
