The more and more I’ve had to reconnect the worst one, the more stable it seems to become. I cannot fathom how that can be, but the garage one is STILL connected from after my initial post, and the other one has been connected over 24 hours now.
However, they still have no way to reconnect should they lose the connection. If I fold my router antennas down, the worst one drops. Lift them back up and it will never reconnect automatically, just blink orange and blue.
So there is still a digression here that should be resolved for hidden and AP isolation access points.
Massive fail for the new firmware. My 4 v2 cams worked initially, but would not connect to wifi after a restart. The setup process worked… again until restart. I had to downgrade via manual flash to the old firmware… now they are working again!
I’ve never been able to manually update any of my Pan V1s. All of them are of the affected QR code described here, which probably explains why they can’t be updated:
Sorry for the trouble. Do you mind provide more details about the issue you are experiencing? Is the device offline after manually update or the device won’t update successfully? Thanks.
I cannot speak for @zsolt.toth.39 but most folks here, it seems, are having issues with the firmware working after it is successfully installed. A few have it work until the camera is rebooted but then it fails with yellow-blue alternating lights. Like the system will not connect to the network or isn’t able to read the credentials or the like. If you use the app to reinstall the camera, it will work until it looses power or you restart it. All of this is in reference to Cam V.2 or Pan Cam V.1.
I have personally reverted to the previous version of the firmware which works for me.
Similar symptoms of user in this thread. PanV1 will not hold network login credentials after power loss. Required reinstall every power cycle. User manually flashed back to prior FW.
Sorry for the trouble. On Friday 10/22, there was an offline spike happened on v2 and pan with all firmware versions, and we are investigating it on the cloud side. However, the devices with 9.1433 firmware got impacted most, because we found an issue on the firmware side that caused the device may not be able to reconnect IoT after cloud outage. We will fix that issue on the next firmware build.
Update
I managed to put the 499 firmware on one of My V2 cameras manually somehow but still shows offline. I payed for this service before now useless. Luckily there are alternative firmwares.
Well today is a day where I am considering tossing Wyze into the trash. Nothing is working reliably today. I’ve needed to be able to playback from sd card and cams just stop streaming. V2 and V3. both are not usable at all today for much of anything. And yet look at all the “new” stuff they have out this week. how bout fixing the original stuff first, then I may consider some of the new items. Oh and not to mention I pay for 10 cam+ subscriptions all of witch say anything that might move is a person, pet or package. I gave up on vehicle altogether as then if that was on all would be tagged as a vehicle. Sorry for being negative but getting tired of trying to get this stuff to work. Just needed to vent, sorry
This is interesting. I wonder if there are multiple hardware revisions of the V2. I vaguely remember (possibly wrongly) purchasing my white ones prior to the black ones being available.
Your support tried to tell me that this was due to my network being poor. How am I going to get my cameras back online while I wait for a bug fix due to the bad firmware after you removed any rollbacks. The reason on the release page makes no sense. If I’m messing around with my firmware I’m pretty sure I can handle re-adding my camera back to the app.
