So I have my cam to continuously record and It also I see have events recorded. Whenever I need to go onto my camera to look back at something. It randomly records 1 hour and not the other hour. When i click on the events, sometimes I can see the video other times it didn’t record continuously like I choose nor the event now. Now I’m on a trial for the subscription. And All I get is a screenshots of the event. This is 
I definitely plan on switching to tapo or try another brand. The quality on tapo and the interface far exceeds wyze now with comparable prices. My older tapo image quality and zooming in quality is by far the better end.
For the SD card issue, put it in a PC and use the formatter from sdcard.org to do a full overwrite format. It will take a while but it will ensure the card is good, not a fake capacity card (which can result in symptoms like you’re seeing) and not having other write issues. Also clears off old file systems that some other device may have put on it that isn’t compatible.
For the subscription thing, that can imply it is having trouble uploading the video, but what error do you get when you try to play the video? It could also be the SD card issues are just freezing up the cam and preventing it from uploading the video in a timely fashion, so while the card is formatting you could test and see if it starts uploading the videos during that, which would tell you the two problems are related to the card.
I agree that the Wyze bitrate is too low (way too much compression). I wish we had the option of increasing it and sacrificing the amount of time an SD card can store, I’d happily do that. That’s why zooming gets blurry real quick. However when I originally compared the wyze cams to the TP Links available at the time (admittedly 3 years ago) I found the TP link compression to be even worse.
If you’re used to one interface (TP Link) then obviously a new one is going to be frustrating until you get used to it, but if you prefer the Tapo, may just want to stick with that.
