m33, did it help?
I updated to the .989 app version but the issue still persists for me.
Figures, Wyze helpdesk has NOT responded to me in a few days. Saga continues…
probably around the same time. I reverted to 3.21.1.962 using apkmirror (listed as sept 3) and the issue does not occur with that version. I moved to the next version available on apkmirror, 3.22.0.973 (listed as sept 16), and the issue occurs.
Sorry, I don’t have an OG camera, I just thought it might be worth a try to update to the latest and greatest Wyze non-beta Android version.
swag, puts me in a quandary. Do I revert back or wait for Wyze help? I’ll wait one more day to see if the helpdesk comes up with something. GREAT info. Thanx
To everyone following these posts. I just installed the latest update- 3.23.0.989 today (9/30). It was NO HELP to the problem. still have the zoom in LANDSCAPE mode. Just FYI.
I see that @WyzeEnTing gathered some info, let me make sure they have it and have started to look into it. I will get an update to you when I have more information.
WJ, thank you.
You have a phone that is not longer supported for updates and an Android version as well. Apps and app updates do not worry about supporting after a certain point as most have updated already for security reasons.
Reefer, interesting. When I DLed the update it showed as updated on the app. Also other users have newer Androids and are reporting the same problem. BTW, I have a Samsung tablet w/ Android 12, same as my phone and it works perfectly- go figure. Thanks for the info.
Yeah they may or may not work. Manufacturers don’t focus on testing for obsolete operating systems.
Copy, thanx.
To everyone following these posts. I just reverted back to update version 3.21.1.962 (09/03) thru the APKMIRROR app. Happy to say it CORRECTED the problem. Hope this helps.
the issue still persists on 3.23.1.994
Thanks swag, I’m VERY wary of any upates coming from Wyze at this time, I had some difficulty reverting back to 3.21.1.962. Even though I’d like to install the new updates, ain’t gonna happen until I’m absolutely sure it won’t screw up my phone.
