Wyze Cam connecting to the network incorrectly

We just did a network cutover at work and the new network broadcasts in both 2.4 and 5.0 ghz. I’ve been trying to move over all our cameras but they all say “Could not find the specific network name” which the Wyze website says means they are trying to connect to the unspported 5.0. Is there anyway to force them on to the 2.4?

You could temporarily disable 5ghz while connecting the cameras.

The v3 doesn’t have a 5ghz radio so it doesn’t even know about that other network. However if the device you’re using to try and set them up is on 5ghz, your new network may be blocking communication between the bands. If you can force your phone onto 2.4 during the setup process, that should help.

Also worth noting if your new setup has “band steering” where it tries to force 2.4 devices onto 5ghz, that can sometimes interfere with the camera’s initial setup.
