Wyze Battery Cam Pro Error 15 Not Connecting - Asking for help

I have two Battery Cam Pros (outdoor ) that keep showing an error 15 code. The batteries are charged to 90%, firmware is up to date, WiFi signal shows two out of three bars. What is the problem and how do I fix it? I reinstalled the cameras and they worked for a few days and then the error 15 code came back. Are these cameras just 100% junk?

That usually means they can’t get a good enough wifi signal to connect.

Unfortunately “bars” only tells you signal strength from router to camera, not from camera to router and not the quality of the signal. You can try bringing one inside or closer to the router to see if it is more consistent, which would confirm it is the wifi. Then if so, try repositioning your router, or if using an ISP provided router, get a better one (or an access point to help extend it).

Dave, Many thanks for taking the time to respond! I also have Ring, Reolink and Nest cameras in that location and don’t have the same problems as I do with the Wyze cameras. Furthermore, the ISP was checked a few days ago and the folks from eero also checked out all of the connections. I have to think it’s the Wyze camera’s poor connections and lack of adequate design and build quality.

OK, doesn’t sound like you’re looking for any solutions or suggestions, even though that cam is very common and this is not a widespread issue.

The BCP is a dual band wifi camera which your others may not be and that can introduce extra nuances with wifi signal and connectivity.
