I am definitely letting people know it should/needs to be fixed.
Updating now, although I haven’t experienced the -1 error in the past.
Edit: FWIW… looks good to me. No -1 issues viewing grouped cams. ![]()
As a beta tester, my first GoTo is FlightTest. Somewhat annoys me that they don’t point the new non-beta versions via Flight Test as well as the App Store.
You Rock! Thanks Jason!
I also freaked out when the the app wasn’t showing under the list of updates in the App Store. I accidentally hit the Wyze app and it opened in a new window with the Update button to the right. Have fun, besides the interface everything else is working fine. However, I decided to go back to 2.38.2 as @gyzmo suggested. I just can’t stand the new interface as I keep my iPad and iPhone on stands in landscape view, so I can view two groups of cams. After going into single view from a group, hitting the back button would take me to single camera view in portrait mode turned 90 degrees. Had to pick up the phone, hit the back button again so I can select the group view. Unnecessary work. Hope they fix it.
Latest iOS App issue connecting to individual camera 1/12/2023
just installed the latest iOS Wyze App… sure did fix the group viewing problem.
Now the live feeds will play properly when viewing multiple cameras in a group.
BUT… when you try to go connect to individual camera in the group… the connection will hang and fail and give you error code 0.
the only way to fix this now seems to be… after you pick the camera you want to connect and go into the camera page, while it’s trying to connect, leave and go back into the app, which takes you right back to the individual camera page. and the connection will establish normally. (without closing the app in the background)
[Mod Note]: Your topic was merged to the associated #news announcement for better visibility to Wyze.
@Furia
I am sorry this is happening, I have not seen reports of this yet. Are you able to reproduce this every time you try to view a camera in the group? If so could you reproduce the problem and then send in a log and post the log number here and I will get it to the team to look into.
I have the same issue
everytime for every camera in the group. even if it’s the camera you just connected to using the “leave and come back” method.
(I am on ipad.) log# 889242
Thank you for the log I will forward this to the team.
For what it’s worth, what Furia is reporting is not happening on my @#$%^&* iPhone 13. Viewing cameras in a group works fine (although I am not a fan of the HUGE “Loading Live Stream” black box covering most of the image), as is selecting any particular camera in the group.
App version 2.38.4(3)
iOS version 16.2
Without trying to sound like a broken record, I am not a fan of the new redesigned interface. Design changes are good and necessary when they enhance user experience. Design changes for sake of change accomplish nothing.
I finally got an E-Mail from Testflight advising that there is a new beta version - 2.38.4(3). Hmmm, I already installed this non-beta version via the App Store. So I open test flight, and sure enough it is showing a NEW version available to me - 2.38.4(3) - which is exactly what I’m running…
So part 1 is thank you Wyze for distributing this via TestFlight to the beta testers (albeit late).
Part 2 is a little humor that TestFlight does not realize that I’m already running this version and thinks I should update…
Looks like one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing

I was running iOS 15.6.1 but updated to 16.2. 1st camera after opening the app is fine, but the problem came right back. shrugs
since loading hotfix 2.38.4.3 (IOS) I am now not able to add cameras to a group and can not delete a group I keep getting a change group error. Will delete app and reload it to see if that fixes it for now. But before this problem when I try to connect to an individual camera in the group… the connection will hang and fail and give me an error code 0. I just got these cameras and not very happy with all the problems
Reloading the app fixed the problem with adding cameras to a group and deleting a group for now.
Pretty sure this is new with this version, as I have had to re-add cameras a few times in the past few months. V2 Cams are missing from the device list when adding.
I contacted support and ‘Rocky’ was not able to find the V2 Camera on their list when trying to add on their device either. So, it’s not just me.
Wyze Cam is for V1-V2.
Although I realize that “Wyze Cam” can be used for a V2 camera, when setting the detection zone, I am only allowed to set a rectangle…whereas, if I was allowed to set the cam up as a V2 (as before) I would be able to use the blocks method of setting the detection zone.
I just made a threat about this in the wishlist (the post is waiting for approval), if you dont mind voting for a fix. This is incredibly annoying,
