Wyze app 3.0 - Released 7/24/2024

They had the wyze update a few days ago to the 3.0 and ever since then my thermo turns dark and has no power to the thermostat and does not turn in the ac…,

I turned off the heat n ac from the fuse box and still nothing.
It turns off at a certain time then comes back on at a certain time.
It’s 2024 of September , had anyone had a problem after the update ?

When the screen goes dark, does your AC/Heating unit stop working? Yes,

Does the thermo device show as disconnected in the Wyze App? Yes

I do know that th screen times out then when motion it goes on. its blank. Even when i press the dial

This all started when they had a new wyze app update to the 3.0​:woman_facepalming: for a new look​:woman_facepalming:

I dont care about looks i care about it working

you should start a new thread for troubleshooting this, but it’s probably a fuse in your furnace…

Why not just remove the one camera from the group? This may be a long shot but I’ll report it anyway. I had a situation where my thermostat went blank and it turned out to be a clogged condensation drain. The float switch triggered it off. I ran my wet vac on the drain outside and the thermostat and system worked again.

So it wasn’t the wyze app. It was a safety switch for the drain line which was overflowing. We blew it out with a shop vac and got all the gunk out. So now it’s working.
I thought it was the app because it happened the same time that they had the update. That being said the lice app works and so this my thermostat. Yaaay

Thank you!!! I did check it and your correct, it was the condensation safety switch that turned thermostat off because of the overflow and we did blow it out with a shop vac and it worked. I did go check them YouTube on how to do that and they had a lot of options. Thank you again!

Glad I was able to help. I know when it happened to us I was in a panic. The house got close to 90° before I figured it out. And it was on a Saturday with nobody’s available until Monday that could come out.

So is there any news as to when Wyze will fix this app? I’m still having freezing issues. Still have many times where it won’t let me change the tag that the AI got wrong. Often it still won’t let me delete a video. And when I get an alert and try to access that camera it doesn’t load up, so by the time I can finally get it on the event is over.

Oh and now a new odd thing has started happening to one of my V3 cameras. At times it will only record like 10 seconds of video and show a red area, that when clicked will tell me to get CamPlus so it can record more time. Yet, all my cameras are on CamPlus already.

Instead of focusing on new products, like bird feeders, put more resources into bug fixes!

Are you running iOS app 3.0.0.16? If so, you should update your app. If not, you may wish to post in the Wyze News announcement topic associated to your app version. This topic is 4-5 versions old.

I am running the Wyze app 3.1.6 (1) for iOS, but it’s as if Wyze hasn’t fix any of the issues.

Another fustration with this version. I’ve got around 35 devices, cams and security system items. I. was trying to sort in the device list but after a few moves they arrange in alfabetical orders so I started again and almost when I was done same arangement…in alfabetical order. So anoing. Do I miss something? Can somebody explain how I can properly order the devices list. Also, how I can order the favorite list? That I couldn’t figure up.

Posted elsewhere…I cancelled my Unlimited subscription and it lapsed on Sept. 18th. After that, I moved all my eligible cameras (V2, V3, Pan V1) to lite and it is working fine. Only camera I couldn’t move is a Pan V2 which isn’t eligible.

New version of the app is blocking access to person detection filter for cam plus lite subscribers again.
Devs, can you please stop doing this, I’m paying for this subscription, I should be able to use the filter.

Do you mean Cam Plus Lite, Cam Plus or Cam Unlimited?

@speadie will you post the exact app version number this is happening on so I can pass this on for you? I suspect it’s different from the one in this thread since they’ve had a few different updates since then and I want to make sure to report the correct one. Also, if you can submit an app log it might help for us to pass that on to a dev.

I’ve seen this happen from time to time with app updates, and then they fix it. I think they just keep forgetting to check on CPLite when they do those updates.
