Since the 3.21.x Android update I noticed I could not adjust the fan speed via the Android App anymore (by pressing the Manual button).
I thought my machine was broken, but the physical button on top of the purifier allows fan speed changes fine. I needed another air purifier, so I ordered one with the Wildfire filter, and it does the same thing. When you tap the “MANUAL” button in the app you are presented with a screen that has UNLOCK LOCK, then MIN MID MAX TURBO. You can change it to any of those speeds, but the machine never recognizes it. The SAVE button is gone now in 3.21.x. There is a Reset button, but it seems to only work with the timer function. Firmware is 1.0.18.0 on both (the new one came with the current firmware), the Plugin Version is 3.21.01. It does not work on LIGHT theme or Dark Theme. It does the same accessing via the Favorites or Devices screen. Thanks for the help!
Mine is working fine and the save button is there. However, it is a bit cut off. On your Android device, what resolution are you using? It may be a bug with not taken font size or resolution into account when the screen shows those options.
Note: I am testing the Beta version of the app which is 3.22.0 (b965). But I was able to control the fan on 3.21 as well.
Have you called in and opened a ticket? You should also provide a log for Wyze to review.
I just went into Settings, Display & Touch, Display Size & Text, and made it very small on Font and display and I still don’t see SAVE below the custom button. Tried to do bigger fonts and no go either.
I tried resetting the fonts/display size to default too, I also disabled developer options just in case that had anything to do with it.
That was my experience as well. I have forwarded this thread to Wyze to see if they can look into it. May only be a Pixel issue as I do see the buttons on my Samsung
The workaround seems to be to tap the extreme lower right corner of the screen after selecting fan speed, and it will save the fan speed, and return you to the main Air Purifier screen.
That was the smart person in our family that figured out the workaround, not me.
One thing I did find during all this (that made it worth the effort) was under Android Dark Theme there is now a selection for “Standard” vs “Expanded” dark theme. The expanded option darkens certain other android apps that do NOT have their own dark theme.
Going to Gesture Navigation from 3 Button Navigation mode makes my screen look exactly like yours! I just cannot get used to Gesture Navigation though.
Sorry for the delay. Mine looks EXACTLY like yours on my Pixel 10 Pro XL and my Pixel Tablet (slightly cut off at the very bottom).
Looks like the app is pushing things to the bottom of the screen, but my pixels have a tiny footer at the bottom for quick navigation or long-pressing to circle to search or whatever. The Wyze app should probably take that into account.
Some cameras have landscape mode view clipped at the top and bottom.
It appears the App has been compiled for Android 16 and above which now forces “edge-to-edge” screens and the developers have not adjusted the screens to account for this!
