Will the new Lamp Socket V2 power a Battery Cam Pro?

Just asking because I am using the solar panel now for power. The power lasts about ONE DAY now, and then takes a week to recharge!

Are you using it in a high volume area?

I have mine on a bird feeder with 30 events a day with no cool down and up to 5 min videos.

Stays charged, for the most part.

I have three Battery Cam Pro’s that stay at 100% most of the day, dropping to never under 90% overnight, returning to 100% easily by noon.

I have a 4th Battery Cam Pro that never seems to be able to maintain it’s charge, and I’ve had to recharge it perhaps once a month (still monitoring that scenario)

The three Battery cams all get easily 9 to 10 hours of sunshine a day, that 4th camera gets much less (3 to 4 hours).

I plan on moving this 4th camera as a test near one of the other three cameras to see if it’ll maintain it’s charge like the others

My guess if you are only get one day of service, is you might be setting your Battery Cam Pro to Contentiously record? (the Battery will Never be able to keep up with that, even with a solar panel (as I had hoped it would))

And/or your solar panels might not optimally pointing in the right direction to get maximum sun exposure?

More info on my experience with my Solar Panels on Battery Cam Pro’s and one WCO’s:

Powering the camera with solar panel

Possibly not enough sun. I appreciate you sharing some hourly rates and specifics. That helps. I doubt Wyze has ever tested to determine what the minimum data is. I may just move them off the house to a remote garden area with plenty of sun. We have a deer problem.

I need to find out what the power specs are on Battery Cam Pro, as well as the Lamp Socket supply voltage. I have powered my Cam Pans with PoE for some time and it has worked great.

Thats a good idea Earl. Might move them to my garden area to see what the deer ate eating, and get something else for house.
