Wierd stuff going on

I’m recording to the cloud and there’s about a couple minute period of footage where I can’t view anything, even though there’s no gap in the blue color. The playback just freezes and then the camera starts clicking and I get the “connection failed” message.

This was during a time when I re-positioned the camera. Could it have something to do with that?

You say that you were recording to the cloud, but the rest of what you explained sounds like you are using the playback feature that is actually the local recording on the camera. What are your local storage settings? The sound of the camera clicking is proboly the camera restarting and going through its boot up process. When you repositioned the camera, did you unplug it? That may have caused a recording that was in progress to error out.
