Why is there no "auto-reconnect when camera gets disconnected" feature?

Arguing semantics aside (does our definition of connect really matter? it’s pretty clear we are talking about the display of the video image in the wyze app, not a background process that may or may not be happening), lets discuss the actual issue.

The wyze app sits there with a camera offline screen indefinitely, disconnected for whatever reason, until the ‘refresh/reconnect’ button is pressed in the wyze app. The wyze app should be attempting to do that button press for us every (x) seconds, I’d set it to 10 seconds myself.

You misunderstand me. I don’t doubt there’s a problem. It’s that the way it’s phrased is confusing. And that led me to visualize a different situation. I’m not the only one who was confused; looked at the other responses.

If you want help, make it as clear as possible.

I too am getting sick and tired of having to ‘nudge’ the screen every 5 minutes to keep the camera connected. Seeing others complain about this for the last 2 years is just ‘nudging’ me closer and closer to replacing them with even cheaper Tapo cameras and just using my Dream Machine SE. Hell, they woudn’t even nudge me to try their subscription.

(see what I did there…)
