Why do I need to choose an application to post?

I had a question about a product that didn’t involve the platform I planned use because I could use any Apple, Android or web browser but the software had nothing to do with the question but I was required to submit one.

Same goes for this post. Where would you post questions about the community? There isn’t a community category.

[Mod Edit] Moved to the Watercooler.

I am guessing because the Android app is different than the Apple app, etc. So a specific platform is needed when you refer to one app or another. If the forum requires something, and you think it applies to both platforms, then add both tags.

Watercooler is a good place. What are your questions and would you like me to move this topic over there?

Thanks. I just wanted to know for future engagement.

I didn’t have a platform question, it was my question about a product.

Each product family has its own category here in the forum. Choose which one your product applies to: Cameras, Sensors, Power & Lighting, Home, Lifestyle, Services & Integrations , and post there.

Or see this link for a nice run down of all categories.

I’ll move this topic to the Watercooler because it does not appear to have anything to do with the app.
