I have a dual band router and wondered if I should put my V3’s on the 2.4 or the 5.0? I’m not having great luck with cameras loading up fast enough or even staying online active.

The V3 only uses the 2.4 ghz band. How close is it to your wifi source? What is in between the source and the camera? what type of network gear do you use? how many other wifi clients on your network?

all my cameras are outside so they’re some distance from the actual router. I do have them all set up on a 2.4 Orby Netgear extension satellite for the front and the main Orbi router for the back yard. I live in a number block house right now, which is one of the reasons I have the satellite for the front part of the house. I’m not sure how many devices are on that particular router, but most of my devices are actually on my main Cox 5.0 router that is my base.
Wow, I wish all the questions were this simple. 2.4 GHz. But I cheated. That’s the only band they connect to.
