Perfect, then I don’t need to log the bug. Thanks for letting us know!
I luv ya, Nibr, but ‘perfect?’ No. ![]()
How this is ‘not friendly’ is nearly impossible to explain in specifics (which I just tried to do in a draft and judged it rational but useless as no one would actually read it.)
So, I’ll just state: Wyze often operates in a manner ‘unfriendly’ to customers (which probably passes in the software development industry as within ‘best practices.’)
It simultaneously operates in a manner ‘friendly’ to customers in other aspects of its business (which helps it stand out from its peers.)
Whether this admixture works for you is up to each customer to decide.
And decide and decide and decide again.
It’s in flux.
Short version:
New production 3.1.5.569 didn’t fix it for me.
Long version:
- Installed new 3.1.5.569 as an update over 3.0.0.519.
- Checked Person filter availability in Events: none available.
- Rebooted phone, checked again: none available.
- Uninstalled new 3.1.5.569
- Rebooted phone, reinstalled 3.1.5.569
- Checked Person filter availability in Events, none available.
- 3.1.5.569 not
- 3.1.0 (564) not
- 3.0.5.558 (?)
- 3.0.0.519 works
- 2.50.9.512 (?)
- 2.50.7.487 works *
* Simple apk sideload (not a bundle)
3.1.569 beta worked but the released app (same version number) does not.

@WyzeJasonJ
I am tagging you to make you aware about this issue. Does it make sense to make a log of this, as all Cam Plus Lite users seem to have the same issue?
Same issue here for this Cam Plus lite user, v2 and several v3s.
I could rollback the app, but I’d rather see the issue resolved in the current version.
Indeed, me too… No reply yet from Jason if they have sufficient data to fix the issue.
Maybe another try? @WyzeJasonJ
Same experience with cam plus lite and person filter not working from events
Same issue cam plus lite person filter on events now not working
What app version? Mine is 3.2.1.581. Mine is also Android. Looks like ur Apple phone. Could b diff code in the apps. Hope it stays working for u.
Yes, mine is iOS.
The issue was never there on iOS. It still exists on Android and I think it is strange that it takes this long for Wyze to fix it. Even when I tag a Wyze employee multiple times, no feedback or fix after more than a month. Maybe they don’t want to fix it, so they can earn more money with their subscriptions…
Some feedback from Wyze would be nice… Currently the only solution is to stay on an old app version and even that app has its bugs. E.g. I cannot add cameras to my favorites, because it will freeze the image of my cameras and makes them unusable for live view.
Was hopeful that today’s bug fix app update would fix the person detection bug, but it didn’t. I have the same issue. Click on the person detection filter, get a pop up asking to subscribe to cam plus, even though I already have cam plus lite.
Yep, I’m also still experiencing the same issue onAndroid - Cam Plus Lite.
Hope Wyze can fix this.
Same issue running v3.2.1 on Android - pain in the butt scrolling through all events to find the “Person” ones.
I just noticed my person detection filter is not working either. Why is this not even been addressed by wyze yet? Seems like a number of people are experiencing this issue. I can’t even submit a ticket through the app either anymore, why? I was able to find a way to put a ticket in through their site but it wasn’t easy to find out how. I have to many cameras from Wyze to just ignore and replace. Has anyone found a fix aside from rolling the app back from a third party website? This seems like a huge security risk, and potential to have conflict issues. Besides, when is Wyze just going to force a firmware to the cameras that will no longer be compatible with the app?
I’ve been trying the Tapo 2K cameras which seem to have better image quality than the V3s. Person detection is sketchy, but will probably improve and that may be the direction I go.
Pity that Wyze is alienating longtime users.
