Where are you mounting your WyzeCams?

I have one in my kitchen facing a window and another in my living room facing the window in there. I’m on the 1st floor of my apartment building and if someone were to break in it would probably be through the windows not the door.

My building is old so there’s some outlets that stick out from the wall with some conduit and I used the bases magnet and stuck it on there for my kitchen cam.

Make sure the cap is moist before you stick it to the glass - otherwise, it will fall off after few hours. Also (at least I do it) place a rug on the floor under the camera to minimize damage in case it falls off.

Installed inside porch light.

Candelabra to medium base adapter + socket to outlet adapter = outdoor Wyze cam. Porch lights have to be on all the time now, but at the same time, it keeps enclosure warm in sub freezing temps and lights the area at night, precluding use of night vision mode.

I have one in my living room and one looking out a backdoor window. I did not use the magnetic mounting donuts that came with my wyzecams. I use command velcro. Works great and if I need to move it, its easily repositioned.

Here is one way to hang the camera using sucion caps. Lower cap is glued to the camera.

Brilliant!

I have found the refrigerator to be a good mounting place. Top, side, front… wherever. With the magnetic base I can put it anywhere on the fridge I want. I use another one in a window overlooking my front porch. I’m going to move the window unit downstairs by the petdoor leading into my utility room to see if a possum is using the access to snoop around. As possums go, he’s a cute one. But, still a possum. Might give my cat fleas!

hi Ricko,

thanks for sharing…did you have to do anything for the cables to fit?
I bough some 15’ cables from Microcenter but had to trim the ends for it to fit into the camera housing…

tia

No trimming required for the Monoprice cables. And the 15’ cables are on sale right now for less than the 10’ ones.

front double sided tape to a glass panel beside my front door. Works well, Day mode all the time.

I only have 1 camera so far and I have it mounted on the included metal plate above my back door. I can see the front door, family room, and the back door as soon as it opens and someone enters. Plan on getting more soon!

Interior garage, front yard, front porch, and back yard.

I also thought about the double-sided tape. However, it limits your flexibility to relocate the camera - should you chose to. The very reason I chose suction caps. The one on the camera is glued to the frame.

See my photo depicted above.

Have 3 in the house in different areas, ordering 3 to 4 additional cameras to place out side of the house and 2 to put out in our horse barn/ field area.

No pictures yet but will hopefully have some up at one time or another.

This is the best mounting idea I have seen so far!

that’s a great idea!

very smart! does it hold up well?

well if you ever catch that possum on camera… you know where to upload a clip. ?

that’s a tidy set up, Allie!

would be cool to see where you set up in the horse barn! ?
