Don’t let Wyze near that!
Imagine connecting your nervous system to something Wyze had produced. Firmware updates from them would probably make you forget your name!

For some reason you think Wyze cares about fixing bugs. They just don’t care or have the most incompetent programmers on the planet.
UPDATE: So apparently mentioning China somehow made my post about race, when it wasn’t. I was speaking about the country and since two of Wzye founders are from China, a communist country that has a history of making poor quality products, they are clearly doing the same thing with Wyze products. Wyze keeps popping out new products with buggy software. Quality control seems to be non existent and customer service is severely lacking knowledgeable people. Oh they produce cool funny product videos, but the actual products rarely preform as advertised anymore. The sad thing is that Wzye used to make an inexpensive camera that worked great, with amazing customer service and support. The only thing that might save the brand is someone buying them out and hiring talented staff, because the current leadership has been sinking their ship.
I bought Wyze cams because the company is (was) American and I thought it would be safer and more reliable … I have been proven wrong on the reliability - not sure about the security though.
I have several other smart devices and they are controlled by TUYA Smart - the app is very reliable and it gets updated regularly, mainly for new features and improvements in performance … with no obvious faults in the updates. There are security concerns but there is little choice out there for certain devices.
they probably have reassigned people to work on the “gun safes”, or “night lights”. If I were WYZE, I’d work on making better cameras.
If I were Wyze I’d work on better QA across the board, but especially with S/W and F/W.
No obvious faults with the app updates, really? How about last weeks update that messed up the motion detection grids? There have been many updates that have messed up the cameras, some of which Wyze still have not fixed.
Wyze is a brand that will go down in history with a reputation of having buggy software. So instead of constantly releasing new products, maybe they should take a step back and focus their resources on fixing the current product line.
I agree… The whole company needs a reset and work on stuff that’s already out. Wyze as to be champion in buggy software hardware that’s fails worse customer service ever. Wyze also is king for false advertising. They had advertise that it works with Google Home only to discover that’s a lie again
Every few days issues come up…camera that won’t work… Door lock that decides not to work. Motion detection not working.
It’s surprising that Amazon would sell garbage on their platform.
Have you been using a different Amazon than me? Been there lately? Amazon has no quality requirement. Sales are sales. There is more junk and counterfeit merch on Amazon then you will ever find at a 3rd world flea market.
I wouldn’t have become a Maven if I had constant failures.
