My VDBP battery doesn’t charge, even though it’s connected to existing doorbell wiring. There’s also no indication in the app that my VDBP is wired. I’ve confirmed that the wiring/power output meets the Wyze requirements, and I’ve measured the power to the doorbell. Everything looks good, but the battery isn’t charging. I now have to use USB charging to keep it working. Anyone have any ideas why it won’t charge.
UPDATE: I disconnected the wiring and charged the VDBP using USB. Then, I reconnected the wiring. Now the battery icon shows a plug on it, so I believe this problem is gone. I’m not sure why this fix worrked, but it did.
