V3 shows a spotlight icon when their is no spotlight

This has been affecting my cameras since I got them 8 months ago.

I don’t have spotlights in any of them , and yet I get the spotlight icon show up quite frequently.

Curious if this goes away when you clear the app cache, even if its temporary? You’re literally cursed.

Why would the cache even need to be cleared if the camera never had a spotlight connected to it? This is typical Wyze software issues! Please Wyze focus more on fixing your software and testing it properly before releasing it.

Not sure, could have been a glitch when the app loaded and now its staying like that since it already loaded. clearing cache fixes a lot of gui related stuff, but isnt always the solution. If it continues to happen or others report it jason can take a look

It’s more sloppy coding, to be sure, but this has got to be one of the most benign bugs we’ve seen. What’s the difference that it shows up?

Well I’ve cleared the cache on my cameras often and it has never fixed a thing. And about clearing the cache I always have to do it a couple time to completely clear the cache.

Agree with @resist clearing the app cache NEVER works

You are right, it’s completely sloppy coding. And that seems to be the norm now, send out products with known bugs and if a lot of people complain, then maybe fix it later. Or not, and release a new product making customers have to upgrade by never fixing the bugs in the older products.

Mine has done that for a year. Nothing resolved but it doesn’t affect the V3 function so I never pay attention to it, tbh.

Yes

It doesn’t affect the camera whatsoever , but bad software … it should be called out .

Theirs no difference , but it’s sloppy coding that’s for sure .

I’m not one for making a big deal out of things but sometimes small bugs need to be addressed just as much as bigger bugs .

Now affecting my other v3. Screenshots included and also the log .

@WyzeDesmond

But you see, it actually is a big deal because we are not getting the product we paid for that Wyze falsely advertised to us.

Guess I’m just frustrated with Wyze and am fed up with their crappy software issues. If a company says their product will perform a certain way and it doesn’t, we as consumers should hold them accountable and not just accept it. There used to be a time when companies and their employees took pride in what they produced. And if there was a defect, they fixed it before putting on the market. It wasn’t until they got lazy and greedy, and why the FTC and recalls were formed.
