V2 sensor not connecting to hub on WiFi

I am trying to install a hub and 2 V2 entry sensors in my mother-in-law’s apartment. Her building has WiFi only and it is shared WiFi, so I can’t connect directly to ethernet and I can’t change any settings on the WiFi.

I can get the hub to connect to the WiFi, but once connected I can’t get the sensors to connect to the hub, they keep timing out.

I connected the hub to my home ethernet and updated to the most recent version. While on my home ethernet I was able to add the sensors with no problem, then switch to my home WiFi with no problem and everything worked perfectly. Then I tried connecting the hub to her WiFi and it seems to connect, but then shows “no connection” like there is no internet.

I’ve tried every order of operations and reset that I can think of, including clearing the app cache. If I don’t have the sensors connected to the hub then the hub will connect to her WiFi but then it won’t let me add the sensors. If I already have the sensors connected the hub will connect to her WiFi but then will show “no connection” and no signal strength.

Any ideas?

Most likely the router is blocking needed ports. If you don’t have access to it, you can’t determine what’s blocked. Maybe others can provide the list of needed ports so you can ask whoever manages the wifi about it.
