I have the v3 Pro Camera set up on the Android Wyze app. I have spent a lot of time with the Wyze tech via chat and apparently there is no way to activate Person Detection or at least without also setting Motion Detection to On. I would like Person Detection on by itself. If anyone knows how to do that please let me know. The Wize techs did not know and advised be to come here.

Cam Plus Lite has Person detection and can be free. Cam Plus Lite will only work with the cameras on this list (Not the v3 Pro which is a newer camera).
This is correct. The cam does have onboard AI Person Detection. However if “Record Motion Events” (aka Motion Detection) is disabled, how would that Person Detection be effective? How would it upload a Person Event to the server if it isn’t detecting motion? If you turn Motion Detection off… It isn’t detecting any motion, not even people.
