How to set up and connect without a service plan? I just want to see my garage from my iPhone via my home wifi.

Yep, plug it in and set it up via the Wyze app from the App Store (or Play Store if Android). Lots of good reading on the Wyze Support site:
You may also wish to install a high-endurance microSD card after you set the cam up and set the cam to continuous recording. You can then review past footage manually without a subscription. 128GB holds about 2 weeks worth of video. 256GB holds ~twice as much.

@dianrez Yes use the SD card, it is worth it.

SD card is a prerequisite if you don’t have subscription, otherwise the camera is just a decoy
