Looks like Chinese to me…

 ![9Wb3Mj7Mi714B87C64qWbya89NjBn3E6](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/wyze/original/3X/4/2/42ccbd047e37873726d0e014f0bf48c23d15edc4.jpeg)

…because I selected Chinese at the top.

Those lazy bastards haven’t created images for each language they offer?

I can log into a Chinese server and find out if you want.

Edit: tried and no images in Chinese.

Guess that’s what Google Lens is for.

In reality they probably don’t even have multiple languages on the site, probably just embedded google translate.

EDIT - I didn’t give enough credit, it does redirect to a /ja subsite (so is it Japanese and not Chinese?). Though even the articles are still in English on that site. So I guess it’s a wash.

That’s simplified Chinese in my graphic.

The text at the top-center just to the right separated with a pipe character translates to “English | Chinese”.

Hm, the /jp URL doesn’t make much sense then. Guess it stands for something else.

Maybe that was the default language at startup. Maybe I’ll look again, to view it in English.

Didn’t feel like clicking buttons, not knowing their function.

I’ve never had it come up in any other language, maybe just an accidental click/tap. Or maybe they think you’re in China for some reason. Perfectly legit site, no concerns.

Not for nothing, but now I have the issue with a V3 cam, even with a card formatted by the SD card formatter you suggested.

Just wanted to add that I have seven pan v3’s, and the SDcard reader has failed on two of them so far, giving the same error message about an unsupported SDcard. They were working fine, then suddenly failed, of course a few months out of warranty. Five of the seven cameras are more than 1 but less than 2 years old, so this is a 40% failure rate in less than two years. Both of the failed cameras are located in barns that tend to be cold in winter and warm in summer plus it’s a bit dusty, The ports are covered, so I don’t think dust is the issue but condensation could be an issue. Still, I had original pans in there for years without any issues, and they weren’t even outdoor rated. Perhaps relevant, all of them have occasionally stopped recording for no reason or said that the SDcard was unreachable, Reboot restores function, or sometimes just trying a second time, but once it gives the message about unsupported SDcard, there is no recovery. Just to cover all the bases, it’s not the card. I replaced them with brand new Wyze-branded cards and it still gives a message that this is an unsupported card. Firmware is utd, and the failures don’t obviously correlate with when it was updated. This really looks like a defect to me. I contacted Wyze when the first one failed, and they gave me a $15 gift certificate. Now another has failed. I really need the recordings and am not keen to paying extra for Plus when the local recording is all I need. I really don’t want to replace all of these cameras and Really don’t want to replace them with V3s just to have them fail again in 2 years. So frustrating!
