Have a Wyze Cam 4. How can I turn off the “Hi, you’re currently being recorded” msg? The whole neighborhood - including ME - are totally annoyed by it and I can’t find any way to disable it>
If there is no way to turn off sound in the App, I would try duct tape over all the speaker holes on the backside. Seal it good and it should be very quiet.

Open the cam to live view > go to settings > Detection settings and turn motion warning off.
Thank you so very much. You have save the sanity of many!

I’ve never use the Motion Warning but I knew where it was. I didn’t want to scare the possums and Raccoons. ![]()
I spoke too soon. Turned the function off but it still announces the stupid msg.
Thanks for your efforts.
Hmm, that is very odd. I advise going back and check that setting again. After ensuring Motion Warning is turned off, consider restarting or power cycling your camera. Once it is online again, triple check the setting to ensure it remains off. From there you should be good to go.
I have five V4 cams and none of them talk.

In addition to what others have suggested, I’d also recommend checking your Automations to make sure you’re not using something with a “Turn on Motion Warning” Action. If you’ve shared your Cam v4 with other users, then you’ll want to ensure that they’re also not activating this feature with Automations.
