I don’t believe these cameras are security feature at all, in fact they are a detriment. I have camplus and with the cameras set to smart detection and only person enabled
They will either stop working altogether or they’ll pick up everything and anything even reflections or light that aren’t in the detection zone.
If I use motion they pick up everything outside of detection zone it depends on the mood of the system. I wonder if wyze is ever going to fix these issues that have been ongoing for years now with no resolution.
They are making money selling a product that has never worked right for a pretty much anybody I have ever spoken to.y

I currently have 13 V3 cameras. I’ve been using Wyze cams since day 1 and they have always worked right for me. I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems. I bet these smart forum members can help you get your cameras working right for you.
I’ve found them to be about as reliable as their price tag suggests. This morning two of my cams that catch the same area from different angles both completely failed to record a person and two dogs.
What’s strange is that while the person/dogs were on their way out, they were detected just fine. But when they came back 10 minutes later, nothing. I’m not sure why both cams failed at the exact same time. I’d normally just write it off as maybe my wifi glitched at that exact moment but my Ring doorbell cam did detect and record it so…
And it wasn’t an issue of a cooldown period because both cams are on Cam Plus and do not have cooldown periods.
I like the Wyze cams considering the cost but it really is a case of you get what you pay for. They are not “security” cameras, imo.
This is why I don’t rely on Wyze for other products like smart locks, alarm systems, etc… I have other companies for those needs.
